Susan’s memorial tattoo for her father

“Can there be a ‘PA’ hidden on the shoulders of the beetle? That’s what we used to call my dad. And I’d love an ‘S’ on the head, for the family name.”

Susan’s dad passed away 10 years ago. He was an entomologist (studies insects), and actually discovered a brand new kind of beetle! So impressive!!

So this is a pretty version of the ugly critter (her words! haha) to honor his work and his memory. 💗💗💗

I really love working on memorial tattoos!! I suggest people wait at least a year from the loss before making a permanent change. But when I’m trusted to be a part of that process, it’s just so beautiful. I’m so thankful.
